We are delighted to welcome you to the ICCT2025 | 27th IUPAC International Conference on Chemical Thermodynamics,
taking place in Porto, Portugal, from July 20 to 24th, 2025.
PORTO, the second-largest city in Portugal and one of Southern Europe’s major urban areas, is situated along the Douro River estuary in northern Portugal. As one of Europe’s oldest centers, its origins trace back to ancient times as a Roman outpost. The city’s Latin name, Portus Cale, is believed to be the root of the name Portugal. Porto is frequently celebrated as Europe’s Leading City Destination, offering a unique blend of historical charm and modern vibrancy.

This prestigious event is proudly organized by the Faculty of Science of the University of Porto, in partnership with the Portuguese Society of Chemistry (SPQ).
The technical sessions for ICCT2025 will be held at the Faculty of Science of the University of Porto, providing a dynamic and inspiring setting for meaningful discussions and the exchange of knowledge among researchers and industry professionals in the field of Chemical Thermodynamics.

ICCT Conference series
The IUPAC International Conferences on Chemical Thermodynamics (ICCT) are a well-established international conference series that focuses on the topics of chemical thermodynamics, fundamentals, modulation, and applications.
ICCT comprehensively covers various topics, including the physicochemical and biological properties of organic and inorganic compounds and their potential applications. In recent years, the remarkable potential applications of Chemical Thermodynamics have captured the interest of researchers from various multidisciplinary fields such as chemistry, physics, biology, and materials engineering. As a result, Chemical Thermodynamics is a line topic for advancing science and technology in a diverse range of applications. The extensive research and utilization of Chemical Thermodynamics in various domains have significantly contributed to advancing knowledge.
ICCT2025 presents an unparalleled opportunity for researchers worldwide who specialize in Chemical Thermodynamics to showcase their latest achievements and exchange valuable experiences. By bringing together academic scientists from diverse regions of the world, this conference aims to provide a forum for discussing a wide range of related topics and their properties and applications. The overarching goal is to foster scientific discussions and collaborations in a socially dynamic and intellectually stimulating atmosphere that will inspire new applications in the field of sustainable development.

Comments:
It was excellent conference. I appreciate all organising staffs.
Catering was by far the worst ever experienced at a scientific conference (no labeling – what is vegan/vegetarian?, what contains allergens like nuts or gluten?; often too late – they finished to set everything up as soon as the break was over). Organization was bad as nobody took really care of the time schedule. The technical equipment of the rooms could have been better (projectors with bad resolution and contrast settings, no microphones, too small screen walls)
Great organization, wonderful atmosphere, the first conference ever where I had to do a lot of walking between the sessions, which is actually a good thing :-). The three parallel sessions were a drawback, though, with such a good programme it was difficult to choose where to go first.
It was my best conference.
Very nice
It is a shame that there were no tables and umbrellas for the meals.
Thank you very much for keeping the fees down. It was very much appreciated. the only suggestion I would have made is for shade and chairs for lunch and the coffee breaks. Just umbrellas etc. with some tables and chairs to sit and eat at would have been great. Otherwise well done!
The conference was not well attended by non-white delegates. It seemed the conference was mostly catered for white (european) delegates. The racial treatment of non-white delegates was clearly visible. The food catering also did not cater for dietary requirements. The catering staff could not verify the meat used in the dishes prepared. Overall, the standard of ICCT conferences seems to be degrading. I felt uncomfortable as a non-white delegate.
a perfect conference
All things were fine
The conference icct2025 was very well organized and provided various opportunities of new contacts and partnerships to develop research.
Thanks for your all hospitality.
Very good. One requested thing is to extend the scope of this conference. For example, electrochemistry is based on thermodynamics. Thus, if sessions including electrochemistry can be included, more audience will be joined. Porto was a very good city and I hope that this conference will be held in Iberian peninsula soon again.
Next time, please insert the complete author's name in the certificates.
Nada a acrescentar, o evento foi impecável, tando cientificamente quanto socialmente.
The confusion over location for the coffee break on Friday and the lack of shade during the normal coffee breaks were the only concerns worth mentioning.
Dear organizers of ICCT2025, I would like to thank you and congratulate you for the great conference and warm welcome. The conference was high level in terms of lectures and discussions, and the social parts (dinner, lunches, coffee breaks) were excelent!
It was a great conference - very enjoyable and with a broad appeal.
The ICCT was a very nice conference, I enjoyed it a lot! However, I think that the directions were poorly handled. More signs were needed, especially to guide the access to the oral presentation rooms (that was what I meant when I selected that the location was "Weak"). I arrived late to the Monday morning session because I got lost trying to find Room 3, which was very unfortunate. Also, the panels needed a stronger support, because some of them fell, breaking some jars and forcing to waste a lot of food by those accidents. Those were the only two major problems I detected. Otherwise, the conference looked very smooth. Obrigado!
Everything was great. Maybe consider more diverse topics and more new faces for keynote/plenary lectures.
Excelent organization
Everything should be planned with spare 15 minutes. Although the morning coffee break was extended from 15 to 25 minutes, the plenaries always ended late, so that only 15 minutes remained again, during which moved and no one was willing to leave the coffee break after three minutes only. As a result, the session started with delay, but a variable delay depending on the distance from the coffee break room. In any of the blocks, the sessions were out of phase, so that if you wanted to see talks from more sessions and moved between them, you often came at the end of the talk of your interest or one talk earlier. Missing speakers could be also announced somehow.
It was my first international conference, and now the bar is high! The conference provided excellent scientific exchanges, and the more affordable fees, including dinner (which was wonderful), compared to other conferences, were essential for me to attend. Congratulations to those responsible—it was incredible!
Many thanks to all members involved in organization!
It was an enjoyable conference. I enjoyed the keynotes and the conference dinner too. My criticisms would be that the rooms were a bit far apart.and the catering was a bit slow at serving lunches.
WE thank all PARTICIPATEs !
